Recognize your Soulmate: They could be right in front of you!

Updated: Jul 19

We all deserve to have that special someone in our lives. That one person that fits into our life perfectly, with whom we can share all of our amazing experiences with. But from the looks of things, it seems to be quiet the challenge for some people to find “The One” and today’s society as well as what we are feed through entertainment is not making the process any easier. In this post we decided to discuss a few things that may be blocking you from finding your soulmate, LET’S GO!

Recognize your Soulmate: They could be right in front of you!

Be open when dating

Let’s start by saying, we understand that most of us have some form of standards when it comes to dating but those same standards could be the very thing stopping you from meeting and accepting your soulmate. The standards that exist in most people today are not even their own, they belong to those around them, which include friends, family and what is consumed through entertainment. Needless to say: it’s getting out of hand! For example, physical attraction plays a part when searching for your potential life partner, but notice we said “a part". Try not to completely cancel out someone just because they do not fit a description of what you usually date. If you are use to dating someone shorter, get to know someone taller. If you are used to dating someone with lighter hair, try dating someone with darker hair. We should never completely cut off a potential partner only because of their height, hair color, race etc. Being open to something new may lead to an incredible connection!

Money shouldn't affect how you feel about someone

Another standard that we see being pushed all the time is financial standards. This one has definitely gotten out of hand! Some of the best potential relationships have been cut off because one person did not meet the other person’s financial standards. If you have a great connection with someone, it shouldn’t matter if they make $25,000 a year or $2.5 million. We understand that it may be hard to change this way of thinking because financial standards is something that is pushed everywhere we turn, shows, movies, music, ads, and the list goes on. Just keep in mind that all of these entertainment companies are trying to make as much money as possible from our views or by selling their products, they do not care about the negative effects that their content has on society. Another tip that may help is: remember, it’s just money. It can all be gone at the blank of an eye. Someone could have millions today and hundreds tomorrow. That should not change how you view or feel about someone. True happiness is free and it can last forever!

Open your mind and meet new people outside your box

It’s such a great feeling to open your mind and celebrate others for who they truly are. We should all be working everyday to not judge others for what they have or don’t have. Getting to know someone new of a different culture, race or religion can be such a fulfilling experience and could possibly lead to an incredible long lasting romantic relationship! For those people in your life that refuse to except dating outside of their box and try to down your new mindset, block them out as well. Never let anyone’s opinion or views affect your personal life and that includes your dating life. Your dating life is your romantic journey to find that amazing partner to share your life with, one of the only things you should be following is your heart, not what your friends, family or the media says.

So as you go through your day, try having brief conversations with the people you see on a daily basis such as the workers in your favorite coffee shop, the person that cleans the windows at your office or the workers at your local gym. Sometimes just a quick “Hello, how is your day going", can lead to a great romantic relationship!
